The surrogate player idea is not a new one, per se - although people may not have thought about it for Pokemon, specifically. MMORPGs have a long history of players who are willing to pay others for currency and other items in-game. Society's tendency toward something for nothing doesn't diminish in the online world.glad2behttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03945278714403827885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-553218599908446413.post-47763820314630541552017-09-12T07:22:51.919-07:002017-09-12T07:22:51.919-07:00I know this is an old posting. And last year I read a lot about the game and it's apparent hold on so many. I even got in 'arguments' with my nieces about it :)
I'm however very intrigued as to what you think now. As Pokémon go has kind of gone the way of a fad. Just curious.Goosegirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03093521070965485689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-553218599908446413.post-1199790881443057992015-08-02T19:30:11.956-07:002015-08-02T19:30:11.956-07:00As someone who is married to a person who struggle...As someone who is married to a person who struggles with this every day, I can say that your story really hits home. I too recognize what you are talking about in several of my children and worry about them each and every moment of each and every day. Trying to help their father navigate through the darkness while keeping it at bay for them is my main goal in life. The hardest part is that no matter how aware I am, nor how much I try to give all of them the tools that they need, it seems like it is never enough. I never really know what is truly going on in their heads and that scares me to death. It is also next to impossible to get help or support. You are right, it needs to be discussed. We need a national movement to open up this conversation. Not only about depression but also about some of the other conditions that depression is associated with. Thank you for your frankness. I too want a semi colon tatoo. I have been able to recognize when my children need help and they have all learned how to recognize it in themselves. It is so important to give them these tools.eplybonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00276818993501791739noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-553218599908446413.post-49678484271785780692015-07-31T19:36:09.713-07:002015-07-31T19:36:09.713-07:00Thank youThank youAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04428137453970128706noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-553218599908446413.post-9068665672155034512015-07-31T14:19:35.038-07:002015-07-31T14:19:35.038-07:00Very powerful. But going through it myself helped me recognize depression in my daughter early enough to stop her destructive behavior quickly. We do need to talk about this more openly. It is nothing to be ashamed of. The chemicals in my brain just don't act like everyone else's. So medication helps that. And so do the people in my life. At the end of some of the movies, I'd have to turn my back to the movie and grade papers just to maintain control. Ha!! My kids know it. My dad is the same way. I am owning that, at least around my family.

I enjoyed your reflections. Of course, I was 19 then. Life is so fulfilling when a person feels happy to wake up each morning! The only connection I have anymore is my mom thirty miles away, while I miss her a lot, not enough incentive to go back. Guess that makes it official, I am a Cali girl.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05837360393810448845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-553218599908446413.post-64093392883854739012008-05-21T12:40:00.000-07:002008-05-21T12:40:00.000-07:00I loved this post and this blog.have a nice dayI loved this post and this blog.
have a nice daydavid santoshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08976825493652779441noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-553218599908446413.post-2027021709051374462008-04-20T13:11:00.000-07:002008-04-20T13:11:00.000-07:00Hello. Indeed life is the journey and every moment counts. I like your web page. I've signed on for BAK as a first timer. My home is Pennsylvania but I was born in Kansas City and lived in Prairie Village in my early youth. I've done some major tours in Maryland, Cycle across Maryland (CAM). Seagull Century, a one day Century event, from Salisbury State University in Salisbury, Maryland out to Assateque Istand on the Atlantic Ocean and back, is also a favorite. I also roll up the miles on the Great Allegheny Passage, a rail to Trails from Pittsburgh to Washigton, D.C.. It goes through Somerset County, PA. I have not been back to Kansas in 49 years!! So this will be exciting journey for me to look forward to doing. I've signed into BAK as Star. Whenever I've had a excercise day, that is also a "Star" day.starhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10580327586926081271noreply@blogger.com
